To the beach…in style πŸ‘’

Hello 😊

I hope you are all enjoying summer and making some time for the sun and sea 🌞

Dressing up to me is not just for those times when I have a do or a special occasion. Everyday is good enough to dress up and look stylish. I am not saying let’s walk out with our evening gowns wherever we go, but we can always look fabulous…by choosing the right outfit for the outing πŸ˜‰

It is summer, so off to the beach, boat rides or days by the pool to soak up the sun. I spend most w-ends at sea and given my passion for dressing up, I did buy some accessories and pieces to wear at the beach or on the boat. Here are a few ideas πŸ™‚

Kaftans are a must to have in your wardrobe, they are comfortable, and there are are soooo many different styles and colours that you can go for a sophisticated look, or bubbly and colorful, elegant …it is up to you and the mood you are in πŸ™‚ You can opt for a long or short kaftan. If you’re spending a day by the pool followed by dinner at a resort, you can dress up a long kaftan with the right accessories and voila…from a beach dress into a more elegant look πŸ™‚

As you can see from the pictures above, my friends opted for bright colorful kaftans and ethnics style kaftan for the day, whereas I went for a black look, as I felt it blended more with the hat for an elegant look.

Maxi dresses or sundresses can be worn to go to the beach or resort. It is how you will accessorize the dress that we will make a difference. Read below for accessories πŸ˜‰ if you haven’t been much to the beach, and still in need of a tan, be mindful of the dress colour you choose….Go for turquoise and rose. If on the other hand you have a tan, a white dress will look stunning!

Beach pants

Put on your swimsuit or biking, grab your palazzo pants and a pair of wedge sandals and you’re set looking stylish in a jiffy! Choose a style which suits the shape of your body, you will find different waist bands, various lengths …go for the one which suits you!

Laura opted for a strawberry red swimsuit, with a cross back detail which gives it more oomph. She paired it up with white slitted palazzo pants and gold wedges. Simple yet so chic and beautiful!

Accessories can make or break your outfit…they are details which can go unnoticed yet without them an outfit is not complete. Poolside and beach accessories….🧐 Think hats, shades, jewellery, bags, shoes, belts… have a look at the pictures below. The gold chained belt on the white dress makes the outfit more sophisticated…a small detail which changes the outfit. She paired it up with a casual bag all the way from Spain, and the blue and white colors blend in with the background of the beach…☺️

As you know by now, I love hats. I went for my big black hat…it dresses up an outfit, and I honestly feel like a million dollars in it (and it was not an expensive hat …win win for me πŸ˜‰) The bag was gifted to me last year for my bday….and I love it…it is a Mary Poppins bag…everything fits!

Do wear jewellery even for a day at the beach. Of course make sure it is either gold, stainless steel or plastic, so as not to ruin it. A pair of chunky earrings with a swimsuit or bikini, will look great! I enjoy buying costume jewellery to wear at the beach, you really don’t have to break the bank…

As you can see from the pictures, most of us wore wedges with our outfits. Possibly some are saying…yes wedges are comfy but to spend a full day at the beach with wedges .. not ideal. Carry a pair of flip flops in your beach bag…and you can walk around in your flats 😬

Having said all this, as cliche as this may sound the best thing one can wear to look great is your smile…and I am sure you will agree when you look at this group pic below. No posing, just us being together and having a good laugh…❀️

Wishing you all a great Summer!

Lots of love
